Before we ever even clicked on “Hunter” to listen and see if the hype from the Reggae/Dancehall community was real for Attila, we decided to do a little research on name and if it resembled anything to the historical figure, Attila The Hun.
A little history lesson: Attila The Hun was the ruler of the Huns from 434 until his death in 453. He was also leader of the tribal empire consisting of Huns, Ostrogoths, and Alans among others. Here’s where it gets interesting; he was one of the most feared enemies of the Western and Eastern Roman Empires. He took over Italy and other northern provinces but unsuccessful against the Romans. He was truly a barbarian who killed his own brother to grab absolute power, invaded Gaul to win a wife, but sadly died on his wedding night. Why am I telling you this?
Attila is under the record label The Barbarianz, coincidence? His latest single, “Hunter” only further supports our claim our theory that Attila is a huge Attila The Hun fan, and we love it! We love artists who aren’t afraid to be themselves and go big on showing your fans who you are. “Hunter” does just that, it shows the raw power that Attila possesses to control his audience and feel the energy he gives off in his music and performances. We’re very jealous of Italy (another coincidence) because they get to see most of his performance live, especially Milano. Give it a listen below, it’ll definitely be worth the click. If you don’t, Attila The Hun may revive from the dead and show you a reckoning…kidding! (or coincidence?)
